What happens if my child is ill?
It's unavoidable that small children catch all kinds of minor infections. For a speedy recovery and to prevent the other children from falling ill, children who are unwell must stay at home. Only when the fever has subsided for a whole day should you return your child to the nursery. If the disease is infectious, we'll need a doctor's note confirming that your child is no longer contagious.
In the event that your child has vomitting and/or diarrhoea your child must stay at home until they have been 48 hours clear of any symptoms. This helps to ensure that other children/staff do not fall ill.
Payment of fees
It is our nursery policy that all fees are paid NO LATER than the 1st day of each month for which they are due. Late payment of fees will incur a £10 per week late payment charge for every week that they are overdue.
Due to the banks no longer offering a guarantee on cheque payments and rising bank charges in respect of cheque payments, our preferred form of payment is cash.
Changes to bookings
Please remember that in accordance with our terms and conditions, we require one months notice in writing if you wish to reduce your child's sessions with us or terminate the place completely. Full fees are due for the duration of that notice period.
If your child brings a packed lunch
In line with our Healthy Eating Philosophy, we ask that any packed lunch that a child might bring to our setting also follows the same Healthy Eating ethos. We respectfully ask that children do not bring items containing chocolate or nuts, crisps and sweets in their lunch for this reason and also because of the potential risk to other children that may have allergies
Medication at nursery
Parents should be aware that only medication prescribed by a doctor can be given to children at the nursery, and a medication form must be completed by the parent. Even if requested to by a parent, staff will not administer the medication in any other dose than that on the prescription label.
The only exception to non-prescribed medications is Calpol, however this will only be given once in the e vent of a high temperature whilst witing for a parent to collect the child and after contacting the parent to get consent for it to be given.
